What we do
A unique model, with inclusion ‘baked in’
- Our core business at FoodWorks is providing training and employment support to help vulnerable people to start and sustain their journey towards the labour market
- At our Heaton base, trainees with learning disabilities, mental health problems or who have experienced exclusion develop practical and transferable skills whilst producing our delicious food, which is delivered to our different sites daily
- Our professional job coaches will support and mentor permanent coffee cart staff to help them overcome their personal challenges to accessing work
We exist to support and champion disadvantaged people and ensure they are a part of our inclusive economy.
Every time you buy something you're helping our team members learn, grow and shine. All profits from the cart will help to maximise work and training opportunities for local people who really need them.
What we do
Developing our staff
We work closely to provide all our staff with the training and confidence to help them succeed in the world of work, we support them throughout all of this even when they have started working.
